The two teams went back and forth in the second quarter as Central Mountain got a touchdown. Troy answered with Smith hitting Palmer for a 42-yard touchdown pass.

The Wildcats answered with a 59-yard passing touchdown of their own, but an 11-yard touchdown run from Smith kept Troy up.

Central ended the half with a field goal for a 28-16 Trojan lead at the break.

Troy used a pair of onside kicks in the second half to keep Central Mountain’s offense off the field. They ended in back to back touchdown passes from Smith to Palmer to make it 42-16.

Central got a 76-yard kick-off return for a touchdown, but late in the quarter Kutt punched one in from a yard out for a 49-23 lead going into the fourth.

Smith added an 11-yard scoring run early in the fourth to make it 56-23.

Central would get one final score on a passing play, but touchdown runs by Smith (26-yards) and Millard (15-yards) made it a 70-29 final.
