The Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference is proud to announce it will be holding its 13th Annual PHAC Basketball Championships on February 11, 12, and 13. The event has become a traditional showcase of athletic talent and competition in North Central Pennsylvania on both a team and individual basis for parents, fans, and basketball supporters of all ages.
The Championships will be held in the Phil Lockcuff Field House of the Shikellamy High School located at 600 Walnut Street in Sunbury, PA, near the confluence of the North and West Branches of the Susquehanna River, which is the approximate geographic center of the Conference. This year’s event is being sponsored by Service 1st.
The Girls Semi Finals will be held on Wednesday, February 11, with the Boys taking the court on Thursday, February 12. Games will begin both nights with opening rounds at 6:00 p.m., followed by the nightcap at 7:30 p.m. The Finals will be held on Friday, February 13, with the Girls Final leading off at 6:00 p.m. to be followed by the Boys finale at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open each night at 5:15 p.m. and there will be a concession stand in operation each night for those who desire to purchase food and beverage items. Admission prices for each night's doubleheader are $6 for Adults and $3 for Students. PHAC passes will not be accepted for these games.
The PHAC is comprised of 19 schools of which 18 of the schools compete scholastically in Boys and Girls Basketball. The league is made up of three divisions according to student population. Not only is each division winner awarded a Divisional Championship, but that team also receives an invite to compete for the PHAC Tournament Championship. Along with the division champion a wildcard team is selected to complete the 4 team bracket.
